ZOOM FATIGUE

How does the G1B reduce Zoom eye fatigue?

  • 43” 4K monitor eliminates small screen squinting eye strain.
  • 43” 4K monitor is appropriately distanced from you to prevent “front-row of the theatre eye strain.
  • 43” 4K monitor allows your eyes to naturally roam the entire 43” monitor thus eliminates the zoom locked eye-to-eye staring syndrome.

Why do I feel uncomfortable when I feel like I’m being stared at on Zoom?

  • It is an involuntary genetic response. When two animals “lock sustained eye-to-eye contact” our prehistoric genes tell us one of three things are about to happen
    • We are going to FIGHT
    • I need to FLEE
    • We are going to F$#%

SOUND

Which is more distracting poor sound or poor video?

  • Sound is actually more important than video.  People will tolerate less than perfect video for a long period of time. But people will NOT tolerate poor sound for more than 5 seconds. We feel offended, lose track of the speaker’s train of thought, and then actively disengage from the conversation.

Why is a broadcast quality microphone better than earbuds or webcam microphones?

  • Earbuds and webcam microphones are not designed to capture personal natural tone and resonance. They are omnidirectional which means they are designed to pickup sound from all directions. Thus, they give you the “I’m in a big hallway echo-chamber or tin-can effect”, which makes you sound small and unimportant.
  • Lapel broadcast quality microphones are unidirectional and designed to capture natural full-body tone and resonance of the speaker.  They block more than 50+% of the sound coming from any direction other than the direction that they are pointed toward.

How many microphones are included with the Gerrel 1 Button?

  • Each Gerrel 1 Button includes 2 broadcast quality lapel microphones.

What is Zoom “Ping-Pong-Eyes” or “Side-Eyes”?

  • Zoom “Ping-Pong-Eyes” or “Side-Eyes” occur because the camera and the monitor are not seamlessly integrated so that you only have to look at the monitor while the camera shows the viewer that you are consistently looking at them. The result is that your gaze is constantly bouncing (i.e. Ping-Ponging) from camera to monitor and back. If there is a long pause between when you are looking at the monitor versus the camera, then when you are looking at the monitor the viewer gets the “Side-Eye” effect.
  • The G1B is designed so that the camera and the monitor are seamlessly integrated so that you only have to look at the monitor while the camera shows the viewer that you are consistently looking at them.

How many 43’4K monitors come with the Gerrel 1 Button?

  • Each Gerrel 1 Button comes with only 1 43” 4K monitor

How many pop-up backdrops come with the Gerrel 1 Button?
